I’ve never trusted drug store makeup besides mascara, and I have always been spending between $30-$50 on high end foundations. The only issue is that I haven’t been happy with the way my foundation has been wearing lately. It is gone halfway through the day which is super frustrating. Then the other day I was watching YouTube videos of my favorite guru Nicole Guerriero and she was raving about Revlon Color Stay Whipped. I decided to give it a try and I am in LOVE. It was only $10 at Walmart and is absolutely amazing. It is so much better than my MUFE matte plus!
To apply- Use your hands…yes your hands. It doesn’t apply well with a brush or beauty blender nor did I get the finish I wanted with my brush/blender. I’m not one to use my hands but it looks amazing when applied this way!
When I feel like my pores are getting clogged and the surface of my skin is rough I like to use my FirmX gel. It has pineapple, pomegranate, keratinase enzymes that unclog pores while removing the dead skin. It doesn’t burn and leaves my skin super soft and smooth. It is a must have!!!
One of my favorite primers is by Hourglass. I have been using this product for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I have zero complaints although it is pricy. I want to waterproof my makeup and this will do the trick. It has spf and is free of parabens and phosphates. Give it a try! I promise you’ll love it!
One of the best things I have ever done for my skin is to buy a Clarisonic Mia 2. I never feel like my face gets cleaned when I was with my hands. I have always felt the need to do something more. I had been researching the Mia 2 and finally decided to get one. After using it I can tell that it is going to make a difference in my face. My pores don’t look clogged and my skin is just all around softer and looks better. Definitely worth the buy and I would recommend it to anyone! They come with different brush heads depending on your skin type!
I am currently loving the Gin Zing under eye cream by Origins. It removes my dark circles along with the puffiness. Not only does it do those two things but it also has an illuminating effect which I love!
Leave me a comment telling me what your current favorite eye cream is and why!
Want to learn how to contour? Ever see anyone make those crazy fish faces or awkwardly smile? They are contouring their face! The picture shows where you want to contour. Everywhere you see a one is where you want to place your bronzer- along your hair-line, the hallows of your cheeks, and your jaw line along with down your neck. To find the hallows of your cheeks make a fish face and contour. Everywhere you see a two you will highlight. You will highlight under your eyes back to your hair-line, your chin, cupids bow, up the bridge of your nose and the center of your forehead. Contouring gives your face definition and shape. To finish off the look smile and where the apples of your cheeks are place your blush all the way back to your hair-line as well. Happy Contouring!!
